The initiative undertaken by Bridge Bank on the health care work with regards to having this workshop is to share the knowledge from Specialist doctors and Medical centers to customers and community to have a better understanding on the importance of health care prevention which can then lead to an increased healthy physical well-being. The workshop was held at Singapore Medical Center (SGMC) located at The Bridge building.

According to Richard Liew, the Chief Executive Officer of Bridge Bank, “Doing a corporate social responsibility is one of Bridge Bank’s key values. While offering financial services to the general public, we must never forget about our own social needs and the well-being of our community. Therefore we encourage and promote to the public a better understanding of how health is vital at the outset and that a regular check-up is always encouraged.

October is designated as “Cancer Awareness Month,” and increasing cancer awareness in the communities may help to reduce health disparities and improve cancer knowledge at the onset. “Knowing about cancer will give everyone the confidence to see a doctor if anything doesn’t feel right because catching cancer early improves the chances of survival”, Richard Liew carried on.

“With the aid of cutting-edge technology from the Singapore Medical Center (SGMC), which offers High Medical standard services alongside its Singaporean specialists based here in Phnom Penh itself, and in addition to looking beyond what conventional medicine has to offer to assist our customers’ goals of optimal health, wellness, and longevity, SGMC approach to their wellbeing does not just concentrate on preventing diseases and treating ailments but to also educate and give additional knowledge to the patient itself. Therefore, it is an honor for us to partner with Bridge bank and AIA to offer a comprehensive health check to the public, as well as hosting this workshop ”… SGMC manager of Business Development and Sales, Mr. Yeong Hock Ming, said.
