BRIDGE Bank formally announces its commercial banking license and the opening of two new branches.

Phnom Penh: On June 20, 2023, Bridge Bank officially unveils its commercial bank license, a number of new products, a sizable digital banking ecosystem, and its two new branches at Toul Kork, and Takhmau. The Governor of the National Bank of Cambodia’s H.E. Chea Chanto, Bridge Bank .PLC’s Chairman, Neak Oknha Sear Rithy (also Chairman of WorldBridge Group of Companies), and other eminent guests presided over the occasion.
Bridge Bank has the ambition to stand out as the hybrid of commercial banking in the Kingdom, focusing on providing the most relevant and insightful financial advice and solutions to the country’s developing Premier banking and SME segment and its growing sophisticated customers demand with state-of-the-art Digital Banking offerings and best-in-class financing offerings.
The grand opening at the bank’s headquarter will see the opening of Bridge Bank best-in-class ‘Premier Banking Center,’ an exquisite banking hall that will offer full-suite commercial and retail banking to its highly valued customers with extended Premier lounge to assist the bank’s premier banking customers with dedicated and professional personal wealth managers.
The governor of the National Bank of Cambodia, H.E. Chea Chanto, sends his sincere congratulations to Bridge Bank for its achievements and accomplishments to date. He pointed out that the opening of Bridge Bank today is a reflection of the expansion and growth of Cambodia’s banking and financial industry. Bridge Bank has demonstrated its tenacity by growing from a specialized bank into a commercial bank to address the financial needs in the country.
“We have carefully planned our official opening presence by planning our forward-looking strategies and strengthening relationships with partners locally and internationally to ensure that we are launching our services to the public with the highest banking quality. Bridge Bank has invested heavily on new procedures, technology, and staff members. Since last year, the bank has invested in a new Card Management System, a new Core Banking System, and has also entered the digital banking space with its new mobile banking app. Mr. Richard Liew, the bank’s Chief Executive Officer said, “Additionally, the bank will be able to provide a full range of services before the end of the year, including mobile banking, debit cards for ATMs, and credit card services, which will be unveiled very soon”. In addition, the bank has added two new locations this year, in Takhmau and Toul Kork. Following the National Bank of Cambodia’s approval of its licensing application, the bank intends to expand further its branches network and product offerings. Mr. Richard Liew remarked.
